The week of December 4, 2023, EPA Region 6 issued an Expedited Settlement Agreement (ESA) under its authority pursuant to the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) to Transporte Internacional Lopez Ochoa Logistics ( TLO Logistics ) located in Brownsville, TX. The ESA was issued in response to violations of: a) Failure to meet Used Oil Management Standards. The ESA requires TLO Logistics to (a) correct the alleged violations, as applicable, and has submit true and accurate documentation of such correction along with this Agreement; (b) submit payment of the $1,250 civil penalty; and (c) has submit a true and accurate proof of payment of the civil penalty along with this Agreement. TLO Logistics must respond to EPA Region 6 within thirty (30) days of receipt of the request for settlement.
