On 1/23/23, EPA Region 6 issued a Stop Sale, Use, and Removal Order (SSURO) under its authority pursuant to the Federal Insecticide Fungicide and Rodenticide Act to Arteco II Management LLC, d/b/a Disinfect and Shield, of Houston, Texas. The SSURO was issued in response to violations of Section 12(a)(1)(A) of FIFRA, 7 U.S.C.Section 136j(a)(1)(A), for sale or distribution of an unregistered pesticide; and Section 12(a)(1)(E) of FIFRA, 7 U.S.C.Section 136j(a)(1)(E), for sale or distribution of a misbranded product. Arteco II Management was ordered to immediately cease the activity. On 2/7/23, the SSURO was modified, replacing the original docket number of FIFRA-06-2023-0500 with the new docket number FIFRA-06-2023-0300.
