On June 7, 2022, EPA Region 6 issued a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) under its authority pursuant to the Federal Insecticide , Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) to Maverick International Ltd., of Beaumont, TX. The CAFO was issued in response to alleged violations of Sections 12(a)(1)(A) of FIFRA, for the unlawful distribution of an unregistered pesticide; and 12(a)(1)(E) of FIFRA, for the unlawful distribution or sale of a misbranded pesticide. Maverick International must pay a civil penalty of $80,600 within 30 days of the issuing of the CAFO.
