Case summary
On June 9, 2022, EPA Region 6 issued a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) under its authority pursuant to the Federal Insecticide , Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) to Verataur LLC of New Iberia, LA. The CAFO was issued in response to alleged violations of Sections 12(a)(1)(A) of FIFRA, for the unlawful distribution of an unregistered pesticide; and 12(a)(1)(E) of FIFRA, for the unlawful distribution or sale of a misbranded pesticide. Verataur must pay a civil penalty of $3,320 within 30 days of the issuing of the CAFO.
