Case summary
On September 3, 2021, EPA issued an Administrative Order (AO) to the City of El Reno, Oklahoma. The AO was issued in response to violations of 1433(a) of the SDWA. The America Water Infrastructure Act (AWIA) requires that community water systems (CWS) serving communities with populations between 3,301 and 49,999 to conduct a Risk and Resilience Assessment (RRA) of its drinking water system. Drinking water systems are required to submit a certification of completion to EPA (note: that the RRA was conducted) on or before June 30, 2021. The City of El Reno must submit its RRA certification and respond to EPA Region by October 19, 2021.
