Case summary
Pursuant to 40 C.F.R. ?141.40(a)(2), community water systems (CWSs) serving more than 10,000 must comply with the monitoring and reporting requirements of the Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Rule 4 (UCMR 4). Pursuant to 40 C.F.R. ?141.40(a)(4)(i), CWSs serving 10,000 individuals are required to collect UCMR 4 samples and report the sample results using EPA?s Safe Drinking Water Accession and Review System (SDWARS), no later than December 31, 2020. Respondent failed to monitor and report UCMR 4 in SDWAR by December 31, 2020, in violation of 40 C.F.R. ?141.40(a)(2). The Order requires Respondent to conduct and report in compliance with UCMR 4 requirements.
