Case summary
On June 23, 2020, EPA Region 6 filed a Consent Agreement and Final Order in the matter of Good Sportsman Marketing, LLC (GSM), the owner and operator of an outdoor product distribution facility located in Irving, Texas. An EPA inspection of the facility in August 2019 revealed that GSM was marketing and distributing 5 products not registered with the EPA, the labeling for which made pesticidal claims ( prevents the spread of viruses ), in violation of Section 12(a)(1)(A) of FIFRA, 7 U.S.C. 136j(a)(1)(A). The CAFO resolves the FIFRA violations and requires GSM to pay a civil penalty in the amount of $17,855.
