On October 3, 2019, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Compliance Order on Consent (AOC) under its authority pursuant to the authority of Section 113(a)(1)(A) of the Clean Air Act, 42 U.S.C. 7413(a)(1)(A) to Placid Refining Company LLC - Port Allen Refinery (Placid Refining) located in Port Allen, LA. The AOC was issued in response to violation of LAC 33:III.919.B.1 of the Louisiana SIP by failing to report actual emissions in the annual emissions inventories for VOCs and SO2 for reporting year 2017 as to various emission sources at the Facility. The AOC requires Placid Refining to report actual emissions in their annual emissions inventory for 2017.
