Case summary

On October 10, 2017, California Department of Pesticides Regulation (CDPR) conducted marketplace inspections at Proclean Supply (Modesto, CA). Proclean Supply offered for sale six unregistered pesticide products in California. CDPR had concerns about the registration of the six Seatex products and made a referral to EPA Region 6 on May 7, 2018 for further investigation. The CDPR investigation indicated that Proclean Supply had offered the Seatex pesticides for sale of which Sansoft L (Reg. No. 1839-108-42403) was sold. On August 14, 2018, EPA Region 6 FIFRA Inspectors conducted an inspection at Seatex, LLC located in Rosenberg, TX. EPA Region 6 confirmed that the product Sansoft L (EPA Reg. No. 1839-108-42403) had a cancelled and ?Inactive? supplemental registration as of November 15, 2010. Seatex, distributed or sold Sansoft L to various customers on 61 different occasions since between August 2014 and November 2017. A settlement was reached in the amount of $322,200 for distributing or selling an unregistered pesticide.
