EPA Region 6 has filed a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) with John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital (LRVAMVH) to resolve violations of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). Region 6 data mining efforts indicated potential violations at the facility, which were confirmed during a Region 6 inspection. The facility was in violation of RCRA for failure to properly characterize waste and for recordkeeping and reporting violations. The State of Arkansas is aware of the Region?s data mining effort and participated in training on the data mining method.
