On December 20, 2016, a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) was issued to Qualico Steel Co., Inc. (Qualico) to resolve violations of Section 313 of the Emergency Planning & Community Right-to-Know Act for its facility in Midlothian, Texas. The violations were discovered during an investigation initiated in October of 2014, when the EPA conducted a review of Qualico?s reporting of toxic chemical releases and waste management.
