Case summary

On July 30, 2015, EPA R6 entered into an Administrative Compliance Order on Consent (AOC) with East West Copolymer, LLC, located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The AOC is in response to violations of the Chemical Accident Prevention Provisions (40 C.F.R. Part 68) identified during an inspection of the facility, July 14-17, 2014. East West Copolymer, LLC. will have (90) days to certify that the operating procedures used at the Risk Management Program (RMP) units are current and accurate, document in their emergency response plan (or otherwise reference) proper first-aid and emergency medical treatment necessary to treat accidental human exposure for the RMP chemicals, regularly conduct inspections of the emergency response equipment inspection program, ensuring the inspections occur on time and are complete, and provide EPA with a final report delineating and documenting completion of the requirements required pursuant to the AOC.
