Case summary
EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) on September 21, 2015, under its authority pursuant to Sections 1414(g) and 1445 of the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) to North Park Municipal Domestic Water Consumers Association (MDWCA) (Respondent) located in Eddy County, New Mexico. The AO was issued in response to violation of the Consumer Confidence Report Rule (CCR), the Lead and Copper Rule (LCR) and the Disinfection Byproducts Rule (DBPR). The AO requires Respondent to issue a CCR and Lead Consumer Notice for North Park MDWCA within thirty days of the issuance of the Order, and respond to EPA Region 6 within forty days. The Public Water System must also collect Disinfection By-Product samples during their designated sampling month.
