Case summary
On April 30, 2015, EPA Region 6 issue an Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to Sections 1414(g) and 1445 of the Safe Drinking Water Act to Eastland County Community Water System located in Gorman, TX. The AO was issued in response to violation of the nitrate maximum contaminant level. The AO requires the Respondent to submit to EPA 1) a detailed plan to meet the nitrate MCL; 2) a cost analysis of the proposed plan; and 3) a construction schedule. The Respondent must respond to EPA Region 6 within 120 days of the issuance date of the Order.
