On January 11, 2016, EPA Region 6 Finalized the Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to Section 1421 of the Safe Drinking Water Act to Xutapa Properties, LLC (Xutapa) located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The AO was issued because the company failed to complete corrective action to prevent fluid from moving through the well bores into underground sources of drinking water, failed to report quarterly fluid level monitoring data for seven injection wells and failed to submit completed corrective action reports. Xutapa must respond to EPA Region 6 within 30 days after the effective date of a Final Order.
