Case summary
On July 9, 2013, EPA region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to he Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) to the City of Runge, TX. The AO was issued in response to violations of the arsenic maximum contaminant level (MCL). The AO requires respondent to submit to EPA: 1) a detailed plan to meet the arsenic MCL; 2)a cost analysis of the proposed plan; and 3) a construction schedule. Respondent must submit a plan to EPA Region 6 within 120 days of the issuance date of the Order.
