Case summary
On December 16, 2013, EPA Region 6 issued a Final Administrative Order under its authority pursuant to Section 1421 of the Safe Drinking Water Act to CEP Mid-Continent, LLC (Respondent), located in Skiatook, Oklahoma. The Final Order was issued in response to the following violation: 1) failure to plug and abandon the well, and therefore, the injection well was maintained in a manner that could allow movement of contaminants through the well bore into underground sources of drinking water. The AO requires Respondent to complete required corrective action according to EPA regulations. Respondent must respond to EPA within thirty days of receipt of the PAO.
