On January 25, 2013, EPA Region 6 finalized an Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to Section 1421 of the Safe Drinking Water Act to Oklahoma Energy, LLC in Henryetta, Oklahoma. The AO was finalized in response to the following violation: Operating an injection well in a manner that could allow contaminats to move through the well bore to Underground Sources of Drinking Water (USDW) by failing to complete corrective action within appropriate time provided . The AO requires Oklahoma Energy, LLC to complete the corrective action according to Environmental Protection Agency regulations. Oklahoma Energy must respond to the AO complete plugging of the well, convert it to production or repair it and demonstrate mechanical integrity by March 25, 2013.
