Case summary

On August 21, 2012, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to Sections 308 and 309 of the Clean Water Act (CWA) to Mr. Ellis Thomas, doing business as CSC Oil Company (CSC Oil), located in Osage County, Oklahoma. The AO was issued in response to violation of Section 301 of the CWA. The AO requires CSC Oil to: 1) Cease all discharges of pollutants from the facility; 2) remove all brine from the flow path located in between the facility and the identified tributary of Little Hominy Creek; and 3) remove all brine from the tributary of Little Hominy Creek, which was discharged from the facility on or about July 20, 2012. CSC Oil must respond to EPA Region 6 within thirty (30) days of receiving this AO.
