Case summary

July 30, 2012, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to Section 122.2 of the Clean Water Act to Clean Energy Texas LNG located in Willis, Texas. The AO was issued in response to violations of EPA issued NPDES Permits which may allow contaminants to be discharged to waters of the United States. The AO requires Clean Energy Texas LNG to certify permit compliance by providing all unreported effluent data with effluent limitations submitted on the required monitoring reports and provide EPA a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan complete with certifying signatory requirements within thirty (30) days of the effective date of the order.
