On March 7, 2012, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to Sections 308 and 309 of the Clean Water Act (CWA) to Oneok, Inc. located in Medford Oklahoma. The AO was issued in response to violation of Section 301 of the CWA. The AO requires Oneok, Inc. to (1) Cease all discharges of pollutants from the facility; (2) remove all brine and contaminated soils from the area between the facility and Medford Creek; (3) remove brine from Medford Creek; and (4) submit written certification.
