Case summary

On December 13, 2012, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to Section 1421 of the Safe Drinking Water Act to Osage Exploration and Development located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The AO was issued in response to violation of maintaining an injection well in a manner which could allow contaminants to move through an injection well into underground sources of drinking water. The AO requires Osage Exploration and Development to complete appropriate corrective actions on the well to prevent contaminants from moving through the well into fresh groundwater resources within thirty (30) days of the effective date of the order.
