On December 14, 2011, EPA Region 6 issued a Proposed Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to Section 1421 of the Safe Drinking Water Act to McCann Resources, Inc. located in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. The AO was issued in response to a violation for maintaining an injection well in a manner which could allow fluids to move through the well bore into underground sources of drinking water (USDWs). The AO requires McCann Resources, Inc. to complete corrective actions necessary to prevent contamination of USDWs.
