Unilateral Administrative Order Without Adjudication
Case summary
On May 17, 2011, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) under our authority pursuant to Section 309 of the Clean Water Act to Ram Energy Resources Incorporated located in Electra TX. The AO was issued in response to violations of: Section 301 of the Clean Water Act. The AO requires Ram Energy Resources Incorporated to: (1) cease the discharge; (2) remove the pollutant (brine) from the flow path located in-between the facility and impacted water body; and (3) remove the brine from the impacted water body. Ram Energy Resources Incorporated must respond to EPA Region 6 by 30 days of the effective date of the AO. For more information see documents below.
