Case summary

Violation: The Respondent's oil field facility was a point source which discharged a pollutant to waters of the US. The facility was inspected by the EPA on January 11, 2011. During the inspection he EPA observed where the facility had discharged oil field brine and wastewater to a tributary of Deep Fork River. Relief: An Administrative Order is being issued to the Respondent requiring the following: cease all discharges of pollutants from the facility; remove all brine and contaminated soils from the flow path between the facility and the tributary of the Deep Fork River; remove all brine from the tributary of the Deep Fork River; and provide written certification to EPA that these requirements have been completed.
