EPCRA 313 COMPLAINT/CAFO ISSUED on 12/08/2010 In July of 2010, The Mur-Tex Company of Amarillo, Texas was audited pursuant to Section 313 of EPCRA (reporting toxic chemical releases and other waste management activities). Reporting violations were discovered for styrene for the years 2005, 2006, and 2008. A combination Complaint and CAFO was filed with the Regional Hearing Clerk and sent to the facility on December 8, 2010, with a final assessed civil penalty of $7,000. OGRE, Inc., the parent company, will have thirty (30) days from the date of filing to pay the first of four installments of the penalty as set forth in the Complaint and CAFO.
