Case summary

Respondent's Oil Field facility was a point source discharge of a pollutant to waters of the US. The facility was inspected by the EPA on March 24, 2010. During the inspection the EPA observed where the facility had discharged oil field brine and produced wastewater, generated from oil production activities, to Wildhorse Creek. An Administrative Order is being issued that requires the Respondent to do the following: cease all discharges from the facility; remove brine and contaminated soils from the flow path; and certify to EPA within 30 days of the Order's date that these requirements have been completed.
