Final Order With Penalty
Case summary
A stormwater compliance inspection was conducted by the EPA on May 20, 2008, at which time it was determined that The Lauren Group was in violation of the Clean Water Act (CWA). Subsequent inspections by the city of Lafayette, a Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4), and the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality showed a pattern of non-compliance until active construction by the Lauren Group ceased. An administrative order was issued by the EPA to address the non-compliance, followed up by a Complaint filed to issue penalties for violations of the CWA.
