Case summary

Violation: The Respondent's oil field facility was a point source of a discharge of a pollutant to a waters of the US. The Respondent operated a tank battery facility which was inspected by the EPA on August 21, 2009. During the inspection the EPA inspector observe where the facility had discharged oil field brine to Little Hominy Creek. Relief: A cease and desist Administrative Order is being issued to the Respondent requiring the following: cease all discharges from the facility; remove all the brine and contaminated soils from the flow path located in between the facility and Little Hominy Creek; remove all the brine from Little Hominy Creek; and to submit written certification.
