Case summary

Violation: The Respondent's oil field facility was a point source discharge of a pollutants to waters of the US. The facility was inspected by the EPA on November 12, 2008. During the inspection the EPA observed the facility had discharged oil field brine to a wetlands adjacent to the Deep Fork River. Relief: An Administrative Order for compliance is being issued to the Respondent requiring the Respondent to perform the following: cease all discharges of pollutants from the facility; remove all the brine from the flow path located inbetween the facility and the discharge point of entry; remove all the brine from the impacted water body; and submit written certification.
