Case summary
Based on EPAs review of the February 13, 2008, CAFO annual compliance inspection, Van Eaton Farms violations of the Clean Water Act were identified. The violations include, but are not limited to, the following: failure to maintain the animal waste retention structure (AWRS) liquid effluent levels in lagoons 1 and 3 to prevent the potential for discharge; and failure to maintain proper records documenting the three AWRS lagoons freeboard levels and current liner no-hydrologic connection.
