Violation: Respondent's tank battery (facility) was a point source discharge of pollutants to waters of the US. The facility is located in the Northwest Quarter of Section 15, Township 12 North, Range 9 East, Okfuskee Co., OK. The facility was inspected on October 10, 2007, and during the inspection the EPA inspector cited a violation to the Clean Water Act (the Act). The violation was the unauthorized discharge of produced water (brine) to a tributary of Okemah Lake. Relief: An Administrative Order for Compliance is being issued Ordering the Respondent to: cease all discharges of pollutants from the facility; remove all the brine from the impacted water body; and to submit written certification that the previous mentioned activities have been completed.
