Case summary
Violation: Respondent's facilities were point source discharges of pollutants to waters of the US. The facilities are production facilities known as the A Lease Well No. 6 and the Southwest Herd Unit Tank Battery, both located in the Southwest Quarter of Section 6, Township 27 North. Range 10 East, Osage Co., OK. The facilities were inspected on September 21, 2007, and September 26, 2007, respectively. During the inspections the EPA inspector cited violations to the Clean Water Act (the Act). The violations were the unauthorized discharge of produced water (brine) to tributaries of Rock Creek. Relief: An Administrative Order for Compliance is being issued Ordering the Respondent to: cease all discharges of pollutants from the facilities; remove all the brine from the impacted water bodies; and to submit written certification that the previous mentioned activities have been completed.
