Case summary
On March 10, 2008, Quadrant Chemical Corporation TC&P self-disclosed non-reporting violations for Styrene for 2002 2004; 1,2,4-Trimethylbenzene for 2004 2005; and Methanol for 2004 2005; and late reporting violations for 1,2,4-Trimethylbenzene, Methanol, and Xylene for 2006. The violations occurred at their Garland, Texas facility. Quadrant corrected the violations and submitted Form R reports to EPA and the state of Texas. On July 30, 2008, EPA issued a Notice of Determination waiving the gravity-based penalties.
