Case summary

Violation: The Respondent's oil field facility was a point source discharge of pollutants to waters of the US . The violation was identified during an EPA inspection conducted on August 15, 2007 in Osage Co. OK. A flow line located at the facility ruptured and discharged brine (produced water) to a Dry Hollow Creek. Relief: A Cease and Desist Administrative Order is being issued. The Order is requiring the Respondent to do the following: Cease all discharges of pollutants from the facility; remove the brine from the creek; remove or neutralize the brine contaminated soil between the facility and discharge point of entry; and to submit written certification that these activities have been completed.
