SouthStar Oil and Gas CWA-06-2005-2002 OKU000568 VIOLATIONS: The Respondent's oil field facility was a point source discharge of pollutants, specifically produced water, to the receiving waters of a tributary of Rock Creek, located in the Southwest Quarter of Section 34, Township 16 North, Range 9 East, Creek County, Oklahoma. An April 19, 2005 EPA inspection documented the discharge of brine from the facility to the tributary. RELIEF: The Order specifies that the Respondent shall immediately cease all discharges from the facility and to remove two feet of contaminated lake water; add fresh water in place of the contaminated water; and keep the lake full by adding fresh water during the 2005 summer months.
