Case summary

Facility performed process changes in order to eliminate use of carbon tetrachloride in the manufacturing process in late CY 2003. The facility is an existing facility under the Pesticides Active Ingredient MACT Standard. Compliance with the MACT was required December 23, 2003. Difficulties in restarting and maintaining process, after changes completed, have prevented testing to show factility vents are in compliance with requirements of Part 63 MMM (the Pesticides Active Ingredient MACT standard). As of May 24, 2004 the facility was in violation of 63.1368(f), the requirement to demonstrate compliance.
