Case summary
Respondent is a metal plater that was operating in the City of Terrell. Terrell caught them discharging high quantities of arsenic in their septic discharge to the Terrell collection system the Summer of 2002. The arsenic measured by Terrell was 2200 mg/L. The loadings resulted in a pass through violation at the wastewater treatment plant. Respondent has subsequently remediated these two facilities in Terrell and just this summer moved their operation to Point, Texas. This schedule order is to assure they have in place a system to make sure that they will be in compliance with the pretreatment program.
