The discharge of brine was documented during a November 12, 2003 inspection. RELIEF: The Order specifies that the Respondent should also take steps to cease all discharges of pollutants and to neutralize the brine contaminated area north and west of the tank battery by applying soil amendments to neutralize the sodium chloride. Additionally, the Order asks the Respondent to consider: (1) properly remove and dispose of contaminants; (2) repair or replace equipment that is leaking; (3) reconstruct the secondary containment; and (4) performing preventative maintenance.
