VIOLATIONS: Facility (a) failed to make hazardous waste determinations on two waste streams, (b)failed to labeled, dated, or closed some containers, (c) failed to manage the open pit-tank as a hazardous waste tank in accordance with the permit exemption requirements, (d) failed to date or move the waste in excess of 55 gallons in the satellite accumulation area, (d) failed to have sufficient aisle space in the hazardous waste storage area. RELIEF: (a)within 60 days provide documentation that all hazardous waste will be properly characterized upon generation; (b)within 60 days discontinue use of the open pit-tank or meet the permit exemption requirements regarding tanks; (c)immediately ensure that excess waste in containers stored in satellite accumulation points are dated and moved to storage with 3 days; (d) immediately ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with accumulation start dates; (e) immediately ensure adequate aisle space in hazardous waste storage area; (f)within 60 days provide written certification that the actions have been completed as required. PENALTY: Proposed penalty is $39,205.
