On July 21, 2023, EPA requested the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Refuse Admission of an import shipment of unregistered pesticides. EPA determined that the quantity of Norwex Envirosponge BacLock 10.2cmx15.2 cm Pack of 2 Amethyst, Norwex EnviroCloth Recycled BL 35x35cm/13.8x13.8in Teal NA, Norwex Wet Mop RCBL 14x52cm Graphite W/Teal Trim and Norwex Counter Cloth Napkins Set of 4 BacLock RC Mushroom W Seamist were not registered under FIFRA. Further, neither the Notice of Arrival of Pesticides and Devices (NOA), EPA Form 3540-1, or its electronic equivalent in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) was submitted for the shipment. The importation of an unregistered pesticide is a violation of Section 12(a)(1)(A) of FIFRA. The failure to submit the NOA or its electronic equivalent is a violation of Section 12(a)(2)(N) of FIFRA.
