On March 24, 2023, EPA requested U.S. Customs and Border Protection Refuse Admission of a misbranded device. EPA determined that the UV Disinfecting Machine contained within the import shipment was misbranded. The label and labelling of the pesticide device failed to contain an EPA Establishment Number. The distribution or sale of a misbranded device, including the importation of such device, is an unlawful act under Section 12(a)(1)(F) of FIFRA, 7 U.S.C. 136j(a)(1)(F).
