EPA and US Ecology have negotiated a 9/22/2020 RCRA 3008(h) AOC to replace the previous AOC issued in 1985. This AOC memorializes the corrective actions that have taken place at the former hazardous waste disposal facility and establishes long-term stewardship obligations, such as: a long-term stewardship plan, five-year remedy reviews, annual institutional control certifications, and routine sampling and analysis. This long-term stewardship AOC will establish post-closure care obligations beyond the life of the landfill permit issued through IEPA.
