Specifically, the CAFO alleges the following RCRA violations at the Shorewood facility: (1) transporting and accepting hazardous waste without a manifest from Volo Drips Site facility to the Shorewood facility; (2) storage of hazardous waste without a permit or interim status at the Shorewood facility; (3) lack of a tank assessment at the Shorewood facility; and (4) failure to have a written closure plan at the Shorewood facility. In order to settle the matter, NGP agreed to pay a civil penalty of $20,000. NGP certifies that it is now complying with RCRA and its implementing regulations.
