Case summary
.On June 8, 2015, Region 5 entered into an Expedited Settlement Agreement (ESA) and Final Order with G&S Titanium, Inc. (G&S) of Wooster, Ohio, commencing and concluding a matter under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) for a settlement amount of $10,000. EPA alleged that G&S had failed to label and keep containers closed of hazardous waste, failed to include an evacuation plan in its Contingency Plan and failed to ship hazardous waste off-site within 90 days pursuant to RCRA and the EPA approved Ohio hazardous waste program. Prior to entering into the ESA agreement, G&S demonstrated to EPA that it was in compliance with RCRA and its implementing regulations.
