These violations were identified through a November 13, 2013, inspection and subsequent information received on December 6, 2013. Perstorp has agreed to pay a $56,250 civil penalty and perform a $500,000 supplemental environmental project (SEP) at the facility. The SEP includes the construction and operation of a new catalytic incinerator pollution control device, estimated to reduce 375 pounds of volatile organic compounds and hazardous air pollutants per year.
