EPA determined that Burton Metal Finishing, Inc., an electroplating, polishing, and coating facility, violated regulations related to the generation,treatment, and storage of hazardous waste by storing hazardous waste silver cyanide on-site 83 days over the allowed 90-day limit, in addition to not complying with the permit exemption conditions of the Ohio Administrative Code Rule 3745-52-34 [40 C.F.R. 264.34] and violations of other requirements. Under the terms of the CAFO, Burton Metal Finishing, Inc. agrees to pay $9,000 as a penalty.
