Case summary
On October 13, 2011, EPA received a letter from PPG which amended previously submitted Semiannual Compliance Reports for 40 C.F.R. Part 63, Subpart FFFF and 40 C.F.R. Part 63, Subpart HHHHH with additional deviations that PPG had found. In the letter, PPG listed 1,412 temperature deviations when the TOU average daily temperature was less than the average combustion temperature parameter of 1335 degrees Fahrenheit and 1347 degrees Fahrenheit that was determined by the TOU performance tests on October 31, 2006 and May 6,2008, respectively. This CAFO resolves the violations with a penalty of $50,000.
