Case summary
On a number of occasions from January 1, 2012, through February 15, 2014, Respondent�s training program provided and offered EPA accredited lead-based paint renovator course. Based on the review of available information, Respondent failed to provide EPA with notifications of the renovator courses offered at least seven business days prior to the start of each course and failed to provide EPA notification following completion of the renovator courses. In addition, Respondent failed to issue unique course completion certificates containing the required information to each individual who passes the training courses, pursuant 40 C.F.R. Section 745.225(c)(8). EPA and Respondent agreed to settle this matter for a civil penalty of $600 for the alleged violations, consistent with the May 29, 2012, �Lead-based Paint Expedited Settlement Agreement Pilot Program.� EPA is authorized to enter into this Expedited Settlement Agreement and Final Order pursuant to Section 16 of TSCA and 40 C.F.R. Section 22.13(b).
