Case summary
This Administrative Settlement Agreement and Order on Consent provides for the performance of removal actions by Respondents and the payment of certain response costs incurred by the United States at or in connection with the South Dayton Dump and Landfill Site (Site) located at 1975 Dryden Road in Moraine, Montgomery County, OH. The Site encompasses 80 acres, much of which contains landfilled waste. The landfill operated from the early 1940s to 1996. It now contains household waste, drums, metal turnings, fly ash, foundry sand, demolition material, wooden pallets, asphalt, paint, paint thinner, oils, brake fluids, asbestos, solvents, transformers, and other industrial waste.
